Oracle
11i ERP Customization
VTEC designed and developed a complex reporting solution to help a global
leader in wireless voice and data consulting services to obtain a comprehensive
view of their strategic projects. Built on the Oracle eBusiness Suite 11i
for Projects, Time Management and HR, we designed and developed critical improvements
for the company’s reporting processes. We also designed a custom interface
from the existing Payroll System to the new Accounting and Projects modules
in Oracle, as well as developed critical time card reports.
Oracle
ERP Customization and Implementation
VTEC provided program management and technical services on several strategic,
multi-year, enterprise wide programs for a large non-profit organization.
We led the technical portion of the Consolidated Financial Systems (CFS) project,
an effort to reengineer and standardize seven (7) financial systems, policies
and procedures into one consolidated Oracle ERP system. We provided project
management, technical leadership, custom development and reporting, data conversion,
architecture and database administration services. One significant mission-critical
customization effort was the extension of the Oracle Order Management module
to provide custom pricing and reporting to support an annual $2B worth of
biomedical products and services.
Oracle
eBusiness Application Integration
VTEC was instrumental in implementing a web-based document management solution
for a large non-profit organization. The system, known as Customer eBilling,
was integrated with the Oracle financial systems to publish Accounts Receivable
invoices and statements to the Web for printing and payment by the customer.
This eBusiness solution produced significant savings by eliminating the time
and costs associated with printing, collating and mailing thousands of invoices
and statements per month.
Custom
Development
As a subcontractor to one of the world’s largest systems integrators,
VTEC played a significant role in the development of a National Confirmatory
Reporting System (NCRS) to support confirmatory testing to meet 510 (k) FDA
compliance regulations. NCRS accepts test results and interpretations extracted
from the Laboratory Information System database and permits users to document
lab screening information and record comments from the confirmatory testing
process. Built on an Oracle database, NCRS was developed in Java, JSP, XML
and Perl and can be accessed via the client’s Intranet site.
Custom
Development
As a subcontractor to one of the world’s largest systems integrators,
VTEC provided technical expertise and leadership, database administration,
Java, XML, C and C++ development services on several large, government contracts,
including the Department of Defense Transportation Services (DTS) project.
Offshore
Development and Relationship Management
VTEC coordinated and led a highly successful offshore development engagement
for a large non-profit organization. When an enterprise-wide, mission-critical
financial reporting system could no longer process reports, we partnered with
a prominent, CMM Level 5 certified offshore development company to optimize
the system and deliver enhanced functionality. As a result, reports that ran
in hours processed in seconds, and those that could not complete at all, finished
within minutes. Four system releases were delivered over a period of five
months, on time and on budget, and yielded a cost savings of 35%. A post-implementation
customer survey rated our overall performance a 4.5 out of 5, based on quality,
timeliness, and cost.
Just
in Time Siebel CRM Migration
When an application services provider could no longer deliver critical sales
data and customer information, a developer of live-scan fingerprint and biometrics
identification systems turned to VTEC. We provided a senior Siebel technical
resource within two days of the request and migrated the CRM application from
the ASP to in-house servers within one week. All of this was accomplished
without disruption to the business and with complete transparency to the customer
base. We demonstrated our ability to deliver the right resource at the right
time to ensure our customer’s Success.
